Store Level > Products > Product Categories

Use product categories to organize the products in your store. You can group similar products together to make the shopping experience easier for your customer. Think of product categories as "menu" items on the storefront, as shown in #4 below. A user can click on Apparel to see all of the different apparel items offered on the store.

Product Categories Screen

There are three steps to setting up product categories:

  • Structure - This is where you will define how you want to organize the products on your store.
  • Settings - This is where you can limit product visibility to certain groups. The default for all products is public visibility, so you will only need to make changes here if you want to limit visibility.
  • Organize - This is where you will assign your products to the different categories. You can add any product to multiple categories.
