Gain insights into how these statuses function, ensuring customers can view and purchase your products.
Note: The "Product Status" setting is under Basic Details configuration page, and the "Storefront Status" setting is under SKU configuration page if changes are needed.
Example 1: These settings will allow the product to be seen and purchased by customers.
Status | Storefront |
Product Status = Active | Customers can see the product in the store |
Storefront Status = Active | Product is available for purchase by the customers |
Example 2: These settings will allow customers to see the product, but not purchase the product. This is a great way to showcase new and upcoming products for your store.
Status | Storefront |
Product Status = Active | Customers can see the product in the store |
Storefront Status = Inactive | Product is not available for purchase by customers |
Example 3: These settings mean the product is hidden in your store but still purchasable. Set the product status to inactive during maintenance and to active when finished. For seasonal or temporarily unavailable products, change the status to archived to keep them in your catalog.
Status | Storefront |
Product Status = Inactive | Customers can not see the product in the store |
Storefront Status = Active | Product is not available for purchase by customers |
Example 4: These settings hide the product in your store and make it unpurchasable. Use them when a product is no longer available or to archive it for later use. If you are no longer going to use the product in your store, consider deleting it from your product catalog.
