Use the Basic Details screen to add or edit product details for custom products. Also see the Product and Storefront Status Guide for quick reference.

VIDEO: Adding a Custom Product

1	The header section shows the current status of the product in the store (Draft, Active, or Archived), the product's name and ID, and includes a link to the product catalog page (only for imported products). It also highlights the active tab that is currently in use.
2	Status Use the dropdown to change the status of the product. Draft: product has never been active on the storefront Active: product may be visible on the storefront   Setting the status to Active is the first step to making the product available for purchase. This effort is finalized in the SKU tab where you will verify the Storefront Status is also Active. Archive: product was once active on the storefront but is no longer visible. The Archive status is useful for seasonal products. Also see the Product and Storefront Status Guide for quick reference.
3	General Information This section is for entering information for custom products or editing data for ASI-imported products. For ASI imported products, you can use the Refresh () icon to replace any manually edited content in the section with ASI data. For Product Description, data pulled from ASI should be reviewed for any special characters that did not carry over as intended.  Note that there is a 140-character limit for product descriptions.
4	Appellatives and Tax Category Seek advice from a tax expert for details pertinent to your business.
5	Supplier and Manufacturer Select from the dropdown to specify the Supplier and Manufacturer details or use the buttons to add new entries. Users of Syncore must ensure that the supplier's name provided here is an exact match to the name utilized within Syncore.
6	Weight and Dimensions Switch between 'Physical' and 'Packaged' to input the shipping weight and dimensions. The information provided will be transmitted to ShipStation (if activated) to assist with shipping calculations. Remember to review data pulled from ASI for accuracy.
7	Search Engine Optimization For guidance on setting up your SEO, click the on-screen help icons.

Remember to click "Save and Continue" at the bottom of the screen to confirm your changes and proceed to the following tab.
